I plan to visit Ireland in 2010 with a friend of mine. I think December would be the best time for me because of school and work, plus it is cheaper to get there. I am, however, worried that some of the attractions will be closed because it isn’t the peak tourist time. While we will want to do some touristy things, she and I are both probably more concerned with finding a few good pubs, and meeting some great people. Any insight from someone who lives there or visits often?

My fiance and I want to take our honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland and we were wondering what time of year is best to go. We have a choice between having the wedding in May or August and Ireland has a reputation for being cold and rainy!
