I am thinking about going sometime this summer.
Any experiences or suggestions of where I could visit?
Reason I am going is to see Lord of The Dance (Michaeal Flatley). I will be staying at the Citywest Hotel in Saggart.

I spent 5 days there last summer – I did quite a variety of things, but I probably found Trinity College the most interesting place to visit.

I have a very good experience, I’ve been all around the world but I’ve never lived in Dublin or visited it,, I’ll do that just now.

Dublin is ok, its like most other big citys you will find in Europe. The Temple Bar area is nice if your into the nightlife, and theres plenty of hostels and hotels around. But if your looking for a true Irish vacation hit up the westside of the country.

try Russian. Not far from Europe but REALLY wild experience. helps if you speak the language though.
ps Russia proper and Russian cities (of which there are two) are different things!

I have been several times, it is a beautiful place. You must do the tour bus, Guinness brewery, Book of Kells, churches etc. The night life is brilliant, esp Temple bar area. I stayed at the Aston Hotel, just round the corner from Temple Bar, it is very reasonably priced, 30-50 euros per night.
Hope you enjoy your visit.

I went to Dublin last year and had a great time.
There is loads to do…they have tour buses like in London, if I remember right a red route and a yellow route.
The gaol was interesting. You definately have to go to the Guiness factory, although it is boring its worth it to get your perfectly poured pint at the top of the tower with great views!
I don’t know if your an animal lover but the zoo is also worth a visit…its massive!

Dublin,Michigan?? Yeah,I live about 20 miles from there.Beautiful country in all 4 seasons! Make sure to go to the Dublin General Store. They have the largest selection of exotic jerky I’ve ever seen. There homemade brats are great too! They have a morel and cheddar that is outstanding!
Yeah,ok,so you were talking about Ireland, but wasn’t it neat how I worked touring Michigan into the question?

Been many times. Vastly overrated imo. Streets are filthy. Main language spoken is Polish. Almost anywhere in Ireland is better than Dublin.

I live in Ireland, quite close to Dublin, so I have been there a lot. Like all of Ireland it rains a LOT, but due to the effects of global warming it has been quite sunny lately. Whether you’ll enjoy Dublin or not really depends on where you live, as this shows what you’re used to seeing. Anyway, there are some parts of Dublin which are great and some which are dreadful, but I think if you went you would enjoy your stay.

It’s one of my favourite places in the world. It has everything and the Irish are wonderful.
