Dublin – The World’s Greatest City !!
Amanda asked:

I am getting Married in March and want to visit Galway and Killarney, Ireland. I can’t seem to find any airports that fly into Ireland from either of those airports. I live in the DFW area. Anyone know a liner that does?

I’m afraid you don’t have much choice. Dublin and Shannon are the only airports that have flights from the U.S. The only other alternative that you have is to fly via the U.K. and then onwards to Galway or Kerry Regional. Hope this helps and congratulations on your impending marriage.

Killarney Galway (city or county) don’t have airports.

There is Cork airport which is further south near Kerry, Farranfore in Kerry Knock in the west of Ireland which is near Galway.

Farranfore is a small airport so is Knock, neither of them have direct flights from America so whether you like it or not you may have to do an exchange at one of the bigger airports like Dublin or Shannon.

Aer Lingus fly from Cork to Boston, New York and Chicago. If you want to fly from somewhere nearer to home you’ll have to go to Dublin or Shannon.

What’s wrong with Shannon? It’s between Killarney and Galway so it’s perfect.

US Airways fly there via Philadelphia and I believe Delta still go via Atlanta and JFK.

If you can get to Boston, Aer Lingus fly from there but keeping to the one carrier would probably be cheaper so I reckon Delta is your best bet.
