Sarah asked:
I am on vacation with my sister, Im only 16 but i am pretty mature for my age.My sister is 18, and I am thinking of using her ID. People always say that we look alike, but i don’t see the resemblance very much. Alright so if you know any clubs or bars that tend to be a little more lenient in Dublin, please help!

well i’m from california but i’ve been visiting ireland ever since i was a baby, im now 19 and i’ve gone there and been drinking in pubs since i was 15 without anyone caring…this was the more southern parts of ireland though so it may be different in dublin…but i would not stress to hard about it…ireland is one place you know you’re going to get drunk at no matter your age…ahaha

some bars in Dublin are over 21. But I know the young people ( God , sound like an aul wan!) go to Redz, on Westmoreland Street, but honestly couldn’t tell you how strict they are.
Having said that, I was in a bar, and there were some italian girls, who looked 17, and they were drinking.
Chance it, you won’t be arrested for trying

It’s likely that both of you will be asked for id, certain bars are not too strict on id, however in areas like temple bar if you look young you will almost always be asked. The majority of clubs in Dublin will also ask some are over 21’s too. I’m 20 and usually will be asked for id.
