    yeah, Cork. LOL.

Once you get to Cork its mostly motorway, or dual carriage way with the odd village in between.

You would be better taking the long way around, either via Cork, to Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow. Or else go North to Limerick, Clare and then Galway, before getting the motor way to Dublin.

Go through Limerick City, on through county Tipperary and then through Kildare. While in Tipperary stop in Cashel to visit the rock. It is the most spectacular castle ever and is in a real tourist town. Limerick has a lot of tourist sights as well and you could stop in Kildare for the shopping. The outlet centre there is brilliant for shopping. Hope this helps!!!

I agree with the Cashel suggestion. Additionally, you could also take a bit of a detour and visit Clonmacnoise in the Midlands. It’s really beautiful.

Wicklow is also worth a drive-through for the scenery – stop at Glendalough for a picnic.
