Aj asked:

Hi guys,

I am a Indian citizen, living in Sweden on a work permit. Do I need to get a visa to go to Dublin for a week. I was planning to get a visa from the Irish Embassy in Stockholm, but then I saw this document on Foreign Affairs site for Ireland http://www.dfa.ie/uploads/documents/DFA%20Website/statutory%20instrument%20no.657%20of%202006.pdf
So can I travel to Ireland with my work permit which is valid in Sweden?

You should call the embassy. The convention travel document in the pdf you linked is for prisoners of war, which you are not. If your sister is a Irish citizen or has Irish residence rights you might be able to come without a visa, otherwise I think you’ll need a visa. But you should definitely call the embassy, I hope I helped.

No, you need a visa. You are not a Swedish citizen, your permit allows you to work in Sweden, it does not grant you the same rights with regard to travel as a Swedish citizen.

Not with work permit. You need a visa.
