3 to 4 weeks is a bit short if you’d want to visit all those places. People tend to forget Europe is a bit larger than might be imagined. It’ll take you 3-4 days alone to get from Germany to Italy by train.

If you’re chosing between Ireland and Scotland I’d definately go for Ireland. It does have more to offer both culturally as well as people-wise. If your flying in from the US. I’d suggest your first European stop to be Dublin and from there fly to London or take the boat to one of the UK’s west coast ports and from there take the train to London. Then continue to France by train and the go on through continental Europe.

avoid Berlin — too filthy, too poor too many ***** ..rather visit Hamburg or Cologne in Germany

really important- in France and Germany(Paris, Berlin) they **** English language. most people know it but a lot of them wont talk with you in English unless they have to(for some reason). Amsterdam- dont smoke too much lol/ interesting city, the museum of *** isn’t that great
Italy- love it, awesome people, atmosphere/ but Rome isn’t the best city. a lot of people prefer Venice. but it depends))
Paris- i didn’t like it that much. if you wanna see the real France go to the beaches and small, yet famous towns(forgot the names). dont go to the Courchevel- it’s full of russians, who stole money from government

A realistic timeframe for London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and multiple cities in Italy would be around 40 days, 5 1/2 weeks.

Northern Italy alone will take you around 10 to 14 days to see properly and for each of the big cities (London, Paris, Berlin) you should plan at least 5 days.

I **** to discourage you in any way because your trip sounds wonderful. But…3 to 3 1/2 weeks will not give you time to do as you asked unless you are expecting to see the big tourist sites only. And hey, you’re going to get exhausted but you can sleep when you get back home. Dublin is in Ireland so you might as well see some of the country while you are there. Bon voyage!

When you are in Italy, please stop by in Croatia!! its SOOO beautiful there! amazing beaches! really really nice people (most are catholic) amazing food!

Oh Yay! I am so excited for you! I did my first Europe trip at 17 and loved it..then moved there for a year! Anywho…yes that is bit too much to actually get a feel for those cities and have time to train travel. Of course you want to see as much as you can but you might need to stay in a more central area. Like either do England, Ireland and maybe hop over to Paris. Or do France, Italy and Germany. I would pick the place you want to see the most and start there, then visit neighboring countries.
