Gemma asked:
I leave for Dublin next Tuesday 4th May-Friday 7th and am wondering how much money I will need. I’m not a big drinker so will probably only have the odd Guinness to get into the spirit of things. I will, however, be eating out as my hotel doesn’t include any meals. I will also want to visit the odd tourist attraction too. I’m not looking to be overly luxurious while I’m there, just comfortable. I was thinking along the lines of £100 but I don’t want to struggle. Any advice appreciated.

seriously? £100 a day i hope and not altogether. Ireland is pretty expensive and guinness is nearly 5 or 6 euro depending where you go

With only £100, you will be broke by lunchtime Wednesday. Your minimum budget would be €300.

I know you said you’re not a big drinker but if you go to ireland you should get drunk or if you cant afford that at least pretend to be drunk no one will notice the difference. Dublin is quite expensive but you could manage for cheap enough if you shop around for meals and stuff.
