Do i need an ID to travel from Dublin to Manchester by train and ferry? I have a uk provisional licence would that be okay?

    I don’t quite understand your question but I will assume you are
    an EU citizen. Your licence should be enough, but better again
    if you are concerned get in touch with the embassy. If you are
    an Irish citizen going to England or the other way round, I can’t
    see a problem, I just wonder is there more to your question.

    No you don’t but it would be wise to always carry some sort of I.D. when travelling.

    Your uk driver’s license is fine, if you are a uk national then you may not even need to show any ID as a few years back ireland and the uk opted to choose a option where you don’t need ID to travel between both but with the all trouble in the airports they now ask for some form ID.
