so true, still love rambling around the city centre xmas week, magic

  • Across the Sea Says:

Up until 2 years ago, I went to 10 consecutive Irish Derbies at the Curragh, staying for the Weekend in the Centre of Dublin. On top of that I have been 4 other times on my own, and I love the place.

The one downside we noticed last time was the proliferation of Beggars on the Bridges across the Liffey, but they didn’t really bother you that much. Lovely City and Lovely People, and hopefully I will be able to go back soon.

    Cracking pictures btw.

I told my 102 yO patient yesterday she had mince and dumplings for lunch.
Hard of hearing as she is she thought I said DUBLIN and asked if she could come too..
In fact if there was a YA night out to Dublin I would bring me old girl. she would love the blokes even if they are 70 years younger than her

I am presently debating on going to Dublin for a long weekend some time this year. I have never been to Ireland before.

  • Light Says:

My pal way there 2 weeks ago and two pints and 2 bowls of Irish Stew set him back 30 Euro . I will not travel there in the foreseeable – far too expensive for what it is.

Dublin is great these days if you want to meet a lot of Australians and Eastern Europeans. I didn’t meet many Dubliners when I went there last time – perhaps it’s changed now.

  • Gobilina Says:

I have only been through Dublin on route to Mayo and the bus drivers are dead stroppy but the city looks fab – I would like some time there and may well do when I go to my parents in October :)

We toured Ireland and Dublin about 5 years ago,I loved Dublin and the people, but we are not sure if we will ever go to Ireland again. Ireland is changing, for instance they are going to harbor some of the GITMO prisoners, this was promised by their Prime Minister when he visited Obama in March. If they continue to take in terrorist from our country and other countries,as an American I will no longer feel safe in Ireland.
